Location: Hybrid - flexibility to work from home and at any of our main hubs (Proximity to our Bristol office preferred)

About the role:
You will be working within the OpenAthens marketing team who are key to delivering our growth plans worldwide and maintaining our high customer retention rate. Complementing the OpenAthens marketing team is the highly experienced and passionate Jisc events team, who deliver and attend a packed calendar of international events both in-person and online. This is a great opportunity to benefit from learning, development and best practice alongside the wider team.
You will provide support for the OpenAthens events across the year which include exhibiting at international tradeshows, coordinating a programme of webinars and community events, co-organising events with channel partners or delivering key customer conferences and roundtables.
We are looking for a someone who is able generate innovative solutions to challenges and who can make sound decisions fast whilst working in a high-paced, high-pressure environment. You will also be passionate in looking for new and exciting ways to constantly improve the events that Jisc delivers.
There is flexibility to work from home in this role, however attendance to the Bristol office to run and organise events will be required. Please note you must also be also happy to travel, including overnight stays for on-site support at UK and International based events.
Other responsibilities will include:
• Work with the senior events manager and wider OpenAthens marketing team to understand the aims and objectives of each event and the support required for marketing and delivery.
• Coordinate and lead ‘virtual’ teams around webinars and events ensuring activities are delivered on time.
• Coordinate, setup, and provide on the day support for OpenAthens online and in-person events.
• Book our presence at external events including delegate only places, exhibitor stands and speaking sessions.
• Capture event and webinar campaign data and interactions in our CRM when required.
• Ensure events are delivered to a high standard and comply with health and safety requirements.
Key Skills and Experience:
• Previous experience of supporting the delivery of live and online events.
• Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to change plans quickly when presented with challenges or obstacles
• Confident to communicate clearly at all levels including with internal and external stakeholders.
