About the role and team:
This is a fantastic role in OpenAthens, who are part of Jisc, and have the vision to become the world’s most user-friendly information access management experience, helping academics, students, scientists and library patrons gain access to the knowledge they need to achieve great things.
The OpenAthens marketing team are key to delivering our growth plans worldwide and maintaining our high customer retention rate with both libraries and publishers.
Latin America and Southern Europe are key areas of growth, so we are looking for a fluent Spanish/English Product marketing manager. You will take responsibility for the creation and delivery of product marketing projects and campaigns in support of the strategic marketing plans and product roadmaps for all OpenAthens products and services in our target global markets.
The role is user-centred and focused on articulating the value of the product to our target customer groups.
Responsibilities will include:
• Delivering product marketing plans for the OpenAthens portfolio, shaping messaging and communicating our unique value proposition and product capabilities to target markets.
• Supporting the senior product marketing manager as a key stakeholder in the product development process (aligned with the Jisc PLM); providing insight into usage, market opportunities, and working with relevant teams to undertake market, competitor and customer analysis to develop the product/service strategy.
• Supporting cross-collaboration between the OpenAthens marketing and product teams, delivering objectives aligned to product OKRs to achieve OpenAthens’ business goals.
• Communicating the vision and value of products to the marketing and sales teams and our channel partners, developing tools that facilitate the marketing, selling and account management process.
• Collaborating with the senior product marketing manager and senior marketing manager – growth, and regional marketing agencies to localise and deliver go-to-market plans and tactics.
• Driving demand by being an evangelist for our products through thought leadership, blogging, social media, webinars and public speaking.
Key Skills and Experience:
• You will have international commercial acumen with fluency in English and Spanish
• Be a creative thinker in planning, delivering and evaluating global B2B marketing campaigns
• Creating marketing content for international audiences
• Crafting compelling and clear communications and content for multiple channels including web, email, social and video
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills is essential
• Ability to prioritise, manage and deliver a complex and varied workload and ensure delivery across the team.
• Ability to grasp complex IT concepts and communicate to a wider audience
• Experience of libraries and / or publishers will be advantageous
