Salary: From £47,000 to £51,000 per annum depending on experience (when working full time max 35 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid - office based with full flexibility to work from home or at any of our hubs – London, Bristol, Manchester and Harwell.

The team:
The Data analytics directorate supports members and customers by providing data analytics and services, which enrich the student experience, and advance higher and further education with powerful business intelligence and analysis.
This role is in the product team. The team is responsible for the vision, ownership and development of the growing Jisc Data Analytics product portfolio currently including analytics for teaching, learning and wellbeing (including learning analytics), business intelligence (including Heidi Plus and Online Surveys), and product innovation/new product development.

We are looking for:
• Experience within a Product Owner/product manager or innovation / research and development role, with proved experience of innovating new products.
• Proven ability to manage multiple products at one time.
• Experience of product lifecycle management.
• Experience of working with a multitude of stakeholders/ customers in the context of project management, organisation change and product delivery.
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to own the innovation stages of the product lifecycle for new products in development a within the Data Analytics directorate, advocating innovation internally and externally and playing a pivotal role in identifying and prioritising customer problems that could be solved through the exploration, experimentation and development of new products. The Senior Product Owner (SPO) will be responsible creating and communicating a clear vision for each product - working with the product development team to ensure the vision is delivered. You will be responsible for leading and managing innovation developments – covering analytics, business intelligence and digital capabilities and insights – and any other new or emerging areas of potential benefit to our sectors/ members.
Other responsibilities may include:
• Be accountable for the delivery of high value innovation, and for optimising the value of the work of one or more product development teams.
• Developing detailed and high-quality (to Jisc standards) statements of requirements, distributed and understandable to both technical/ non-technical people – internal to the data analytics directorate and beyond e.g. software services directorate.
• Liaise with staff at all levels in the organisation and across the customer bases and third party suppliers whilst working within the defined processes to assist in the development of new technical features.
