About the role:
OpenAthens makes accessing knowledge through a single sign-on easy. We help more than 3,000 organisations with 8 million users in over 80 countries have access to the knowledge they want, when they want it.
Reporting to the Head of Global Sales & Partnerships, the candidate will be responsible for business growth and reseller partnerships across Latin Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. Working with our suite of products for libraries, the role will require a bilingual candidate fluent in English and Spanish and incorporate selling to customers in the academic, healthcare, government and corporate research sectors.

This is a mid-level role, and the candidate should be skilled in consultative selling and have experience working within the technology industry, but this could be the first time they have worked with partners and resellers.

Managing their own sales pipeline, they should be comfortable responding to complex technical enquiries from prospects and customers, with a requirement to demo products and solution sell.

Responsibilities will include:
• Developing, owning and executing the OpenAthens sales strategy for Latin Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean
• Managing and collaborating with a diverse network of regional channel partners
• Pro-actively identifying new markets and nurturing existing sales activity
• Developing relationships with international sales partners
• Becoming a knowledgeable authority on the challenges library and publisher customers face
• Attending and presenting at key industry events, with extensive global travel to support and promote OpenAthens
• Leading and presenting regular product demos and webinars for customers, prospects and partners

Key Skills and Experience:
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Worked with B2B technology products
• Consultative sales approach
• Account/relationship management
• Ability to present and inspire an audience
• Ability to close new business and manage sales through a pipeline

Nice to Have

• Driven towards continual self-development
• Record of managing international sales via channel partners and resellers
• Portuguese and/or Brazilian Portuguese language skills
• Demonstrable track record of exceeding targets
