About you

We’re ideally looking for someone with:
The motivation and technical capability to continuously learn and exploit new and emerging technologies, techniques and soft skills whilst establishing credibility. and trust with key stakeholders.
You will ideally be able to adapt and drive decisions collaboratively.
Fluency with Java 8 backend development, working with modern Java-based API frameworks such as Spring Boot/Jersey and knowledge of developing and using REST based APIs.
Experience of developing Web based applications using Angular, React or equivalent modern front-end frameworks.
Highly skilled at creating code that is both high quality and easily maintainable.
Experience of designing, developing and supporting enterprise-scale applications within an Agile software product development environment.
The role:
Jisc OpenAthens has the vision to become the world’s most user-friendly information access management experience, helping academics, students, scientists and library patrons gain access to the knowledge they need to achieve great things.
As a Full Stack Software Engineer for one of the OpenAthens development scrum teams you will use your technical skills, knowledge and experience along with your soft skills to work with your scrum team colleagues and stakeholders to continually improve the OpenAthens identity and access management products.
You will be involved in software development end-to-end, which may include backlog refinement, sprint planning, analysis, design, development and testing, and any accompanying continuous improvement process. As a full stack developer, you will contribute to both front-end and back-end software changes.
